Toronto Story - The People Behind the City
Hey Toronto!
I'm creating a video series about the real people who make this city what it is — the commuters, dreamers, workers, newcomers, creators, parents, and neighbours who give Toronto its soul.
I'm looking for everyday Torontonians to share their stories on camera — the challenges you're facing, the joys you're celebrating, the changes you're navigating, or what it means to simply show up each day.
What's involved
A relaxed, filmed conversation about your life in Toronto
We'll film at a location you're comfortable with and is relevant to your story
Your story will be part of an ongoing documentary series showcasing Toronto's diversity and everyday life
Why participate
This is a chance to have your story professionally captured with care and craft — told with dignity, in your own words, and preserved as a lasting record of your life in Toronto at this moment in time. Every story is different, but each one matters. Yours deserves to be heard.
We'll work together to make sure your story is told properly.
About me
I've spent over 15 years telling people's stories from around the world for organisations such as The New York Times, Financial Times, UNICEF, the Canadian and UK governments, and many more. As someone who chose Toronto to hang their hat and is still discovering it, I'm fascinated by what makes this city tick and I believe the best way to understand it is through the people who live here.
